Who are you, What is this?

You can find me here, @yshvak. I love solving problems using new technologies, and I am curious about markets. All sorts of them; real estate, bonds, stocks, private equity, economies, commodities, you name it. ABC Finance will focus mainly on financial markets unless we come across an interesting intersection in the future.

I first became curious about financial markets when I was in my 10th grade. As a result, I took a keen interest in Economics and Business studies. Back then, I was naïve, and I thought that the stuff in the textbook was the real deal. In truth, it was nowhere close.

This has been true for everyone, and it was true for me as well. The real learning started when I graduated high school. Post high school, I was doing so much, learning a lot and growing that I made a risky choice to drop out of business school in 2016 after one semester and chose to pursue a journey of my own.

Pursuing this journey and being a practitioner in various markets has taught me a great deal about managing, saving and investing money well. Most of the time, I am an introverted person at social gatherings, but I can't help it when asked about finance and investments.

This page is the result of constant bugging by friends that I should share practical financial knowledge with other people who are also trying to navigate the jungle of money, savings and investment to build wealth and improve their life.

I intend to write a limited number of blogs around critical topics so that readers can get to the meat of the matter and easily access resources without wasting time. The information is most applicable to readers who are earning or saving a minimum of Rs. 35k a month.
